Your mom's faith is inspiring. I can only pray that if I am ever faced with a life threatening illness I will be able to be at peace as she is.

I pray that too. Peace will get you through anything, no matter how dire the situation may be.

Yes before I wouldn't dare workout due to a bad knee that's why I'm swimming because of the knee

I would love to incorporate swimming but there aren't any lap pools close by really. And I'd love to learn to do the front stroke, etc properly too. I can swim but I guess I should take some lessons too. But I've thought to find out where Water aerobics might be.

Monster muffins were a hit. My four year old ate three. My seven year old ate one very cautiously. Lol. 12 year old eats just about anything. These will definitely be made again. Next muffin will be a chickpea banana nut muffin. Little do they know....muahahahahahaha!!!

I need some help. These past few days I've been eating way too fast. I HATE the feeling I have afterwards but I don't seem to just "get the fact that I have a tiny stomach and cannot take it fast". Just tonight I ate some pistachios. Just a few too many and now I'm feeling like I want to throw up but it just doesn't happen. I don't know why I keep doing this. I might need to get my husband to help remind me that I must eat slower or actually get the scale out and measure no more than 2 oz of food per meal. If I feel hungry still, I can proceed with caution. Are y'all weighing your food, every meal? I can't stand do to it but I will until I learn.

I do when I am home, but I don't carry one around with me. Like today at my daughters house I just guessed. I am getting pretty good at judging portions because I have been weighing for the past 7 weeks.. lol...

however, that doesn't stop me from eating the 4oz of food too fast. I find if I eat too fast I will have to stop at 2-2.5 oz, but if I chew slowly and take 20 minutes to eat I can usually eat the whole 4oz.

what I have started doing is put my fork down in between bites. I am forcing myself to go slow. I am getting better.

My daughter made this delicious cake for today's BBQ. I ate a few berries and two bites of cake. Those bites were worth it.

It really sucked getting up to go to work this morning...lol... I hate when they put a holiday on a Tuesday😡

I noticed the past couple of weeks I am often getting in 800-900 calories a day. I think by 3 months I will be up to 1000. I would really like to get my REsting metabolism checked just so i will know how fast or slow mine is.

Have any of you thought about doing this?

The holiday was easier for me, I was off on Monday too. Sorry it sucked.

My BMR is approximately 1760 calories currently. I used to always use this calculator to get an idea of my BMR and tdee numbers.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
