April Sleevers, What Changes Have You Noticed?

Recommended Posts

Hey y'all,

I was sleeved April 13th and so far I have lost 41 lbs. I did reach a stall last week but I noticed today I weighed 185 and that's 2 pounds I was able to lose in about 2 weeks. I did have to increase my calories to 1,000 but an average of 880.

Since surgery I've noticed that I feel happier. I am able to sleep at night for longer periods. I have a Fitbit so it helps me keep track of my activity level. I do have chronic pain and not much change there yet but I'm praying once I reach my goal in about 45 lbs to go I will feel a difference and my pain will decrease. I also cook more now since I have to eat much different than before. I love that my clothes don't fit at all but I do love leggings until I reach that goal. I refuse to buy clothes till I get to 145. I notice my face glows a whole lot more now.

I would like to share for those having issues with calorie intake. I did notice that lamb loin chops have more calories in 2 ounces than chicken does and they taste delicious with rosemary, garlic, thyme and butter. (Mouth watering) with a side of 2 ounces zucchini. Lol

Anyhow, good luck to you all and wishing you the best with your journey. I'm so thankful and grateful I chose to get sleeved.

Now that I'm feeling more like my normal self -- I can look a little deeper at the positive changes (sleeve on 4/18):

-Clothes I haven't been able to wear in a LONG time now fit (not sure why I kept them... but glad I did)

-People are starting to notice and complimenting me.

-My face is getting thinner, and it makes my eyes look bigger

-I actually WANT to exercise, but have to tell myself to chill out a bit as the calorie intake is so low. For now yoga almost daily and about a mile and a half of walking per day.

-That feeling of being satisfied without being completely full to the point of feeling ill -- previously that was the only way I could really be satisfied after eating.

Can't wait to see what another month brings!

I feel the same way waiting to see what next month brings. I just hope walking 4 to 5 miles a day isn't a bad thing for me

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
