I tweaked how I was eating on my first visit with my surgeon (April 5th) and went back today and I lost 11 lbs! So exciting.

I'm on day three of pre-op diet hopefully I'll lose even more.

I put smaller portions on my plate and made sure I ate really slow so I wouldn't overeat. Less carbs more veggies. Lots of Water and lots of walking.

Good luck

Thank u ... Sounds good .. !!!
That's what I been doing .. try to chew 2o-30 times .. she says no drinking while eating .. so I drink tons of Water later .. although I wasn't eating any extra carbs meaning only what I got w fruits and vegetables actually eat more vegetables than fruit .. but nutritionist encourage me to add whole-grain low carbs.. bread .. Brown rice quinoa .. etc. .
think that's the culprit LOL... she encouraged me to try to balance out the meal.. that's it i'm cutting out extra carbs again!!!
I follow a 1200 cal diet .. I track everything I eat too ... so crazy !!

Its possible you are gaining muscle at the moment. Muscle weighs more than fat so hopefully the scale starts moving for ya.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
