Starting stage 3 tomorrow and need recipe help

Recommended Posts

I am so confused thinking about the next stage. I get things have to be soft but my team says Protein first then vegetables. How is everyone making recipes and doing the protein first? I am really interested in everyone's go to or favorite stage 3 foods. Thanks so much!

I didn't make many recipes until I was cleared for regular food. For the soft stage I think I started eating yogurt with small bits of fruit, soft scrambled eggs, chili, meatballs with Low Sugar sauce, string cheese, and turkey lunch meat. i ate no veggies because there wasn't any room once I ate the Protein.

I found that softer foods such as chili and Soups went down much easier than harder foods such as steak and chicken, so that is what I concentrated on after surgery. I have included some recipes at the end of the following article. http://www.breadandbutterscience.com/Surgery.pdf

Same here - no recipes. I’m about to finish my fifth week and just now trying chicken and composed meals. And they go down but with a little bit of a fuss. I ate/eat:

Yogurt, apple sauce, Soups, refried Beans, avocado, soft bananas, smoothies (careful with berry seeds), ground turkey (not beef or chicken) cooked in broth/liquids or sugar free Pasta Sauce, turkey lunch meat, mashed cauliflower, soft pears, soft beans, turkey and white bean chili from whole foods, egg whites (tummy didn’t like eggs until this week), tuna salad without celery or onions, egg salad - as simple as possible. I didn’t have sensitivity to a normal amount of spices but I tried some chicken & turmeric Soup and my whole body rejected it.

Hope this helps!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
