Normal consumption of food?

Hi, all. I am currently 5 weeks post op as of today. I was curious about others consumption this early out. I ordered a cup of cheddar soup from Panera and could only have two spoonfuls and I felt as though I would get the chest and stomach cramps if I had one more bite.

I would wonder if it is more about the contents of the soup than it is just quantity. When we eat out, I try to stick to straight protein and maybe a small salad. Even at 7 months out, restaurant soup has too me carbs and unknowns for me.

You will soon be able to eat the entire bowl of heavy calories. The restriction lessens greatly.
