Ugh, I have really really fallen into old bad habits. Had surgery Sept 2014, lost 110lbs at my lowest, I've gained 10lbs since then. Oh I also had a baby in this time (pregnant 8m after surgery after 2 years of infertility). I'm planning to do 5 days of pre op type diet starting on May 1st to really kick myself back into gear. I'm grazing, eating too much, eating the wrong things. I really hope I can get myself back on track. Any motivation would be helpful!

I'm also still nursing my 14m old for comfort, and hoping this doesn't completely kill my supply because I'm not ready to stop.

Actually I've been at my lowest after the baby lol. Technically I only gained 2lbs while pregnant.

Wow@beth_d that's awesome! Firstly, you can do it! Once you get back on track for a week or two it will feel normal again.
Secondly, I need to know how you only gained 2lbs in pregnancy. We are going to try again in a few months (I'm 4 months post op and down 60 lbs so want to lose another 60). I'm nervous about the weight gain though. Any tips would be very much appreciated!

Wish I had some tips for you, but I was still in after surgery weight loss when I got pregnant. I was only 8m out. I actually lost 10 lbs during the first trimester, I gained almost all of my weight during the last 10w or so.

I was 333 when I started my preop diet. 247 when I got pregnant, and 249 day before delivery.

That's amazing@beth_d !! I was 323.6 day of surgery, I'm now 263 and I want to try and get to 200 before we get pregnant, but I don't want to wait too much longer as I too have fertility issues. The dr said she will start treatment when I hit 250 so I may just go for it and hope that I continue losing after pregnancy. Have you found you've lost quite easily post pregnancy even though you were past the 12 months post op weight loss period?

It was very easy. I did ebf, so I think that also helped. I really only started gaining badly in the past 5m or so. I got into some very bad Starbucks habits which I don't think helped at all.

@beth_d What is ebf? I understand the Starbucks habits I have to avoid like the plague. Thank you for all the help. I really appreciate it!

Sorry, ebf= exclusively breastfed. She only had breastmilk for the first year (no formula)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
