Best pjs for the hospital?

Getting sleeved on May 2nd, any thoughts on best kinds of women's pjs for hospital ?

After bringing a change of clothes and robe, I ended up in just a shirt and robe. I didn't want to wear pants or underwear that put pressure on my tummy. The robe was handy whenever I walked around the hospital I just slipped it on or whenever I got up. It was easy to use the restroom as well. I was in a lot of pain and had bad nausea so wearing no bottoms was easier to move.
Plus you will have a IV hooked to you so you won't really be as comfortable. It wasn't until the day I left the hospital when I changed right back into the clothes I came in with because they were the most comfy clothes.

just wear the hospital gown they give you. I brought pajamas to the hospital, but there was oozing and some bleeding from the laparoscopic sites.. Wasn't a major problem but why stain your nice PJs. Just bring a robe.

I brought pajama pants and a loose top...I got into those as soon as I was back in my room after the surgery. I always feel so much better out of that hospital gown and into my own things. Plus, I felt much better walking the halls in pants than a gown. Brought my own slippers, too

It was hard to wear anything other than underwear and the hospital gown with all the hoses and wires hooked up to me. I had brought a robe, sleep pants, t-shirts and slippers. All I was able to use was the slippers. I wasn't able to shower for two days while in the hospital. It really sucked.

I got a nice soft shirt and pj/sweat bottoms. Also some comfy nonslip slippers. Depending on what your doc does (for instance I wasn't cath'd and didn't have a halter monitor) you may or may not be able to change. For me-as soon as I was able to change-that alone made me feel better. The nurses even commented that my mood seemed better once I was in my own clothes even though I ended up staying an extra night. I didn't go crazy though...just a simple v-neck and loose pants. Didn't spend more than $20

You won't need PJs. You'll get undressed and put on the gown, have surgery, stay over night and if all goes well you'll be released the very next day.

Clothes is very light. Just make sure you don't wear a tight tee and all should be well.

My happiest moment after surgery came when I finally got my IV out and put on my own nightgown and robe! I became a new woman!!!!

I wore the hospital gown for the first 24 hours when I was hooked up to the IV, PCA pump and had a catheter. On the second day after they discontinued my IV pain meds, removed my IV and took the cath out I changed into my own jammies. I wore a night gown and had a pair of leggings for walking.

I took jammies, but ended up just wearing the gown. It was so much more convenient and more comfortable, in my opinion!
