What is wrong with me??

I am 4 weeks post op tomorrow. I have lost 18 lbs since surgery and my weightloss is not the issue. I feel hungry. I hate the hunger feeling. I keep reading about others that don't even want to eat/drink. I get 64 oz water, I eat 700 calories and I feel sometimes like that isn't enough. I have eaten 800 a few times. I am still losing, so I am wondering if I am the only one? I have found no intolerances, I eat 6-8 oz at each meal. I take my vitamins, I get one vegetable, one fruit, one starch and at least 70 protein each day. I start my soft foods tomorrow. Does anyone have any insight to this?

Some people don't have problems getting their intake, and it sounds like you're lucky enough not to be having them. I'm sure at least some of your hunger is head hunger, craving some things you see and what not. And some of it is real hunger, and that's when you have something to eat. It's not abnormal, and you're doing the right things. Don't worry too much :)

Are you on an antacid?? I felt constant "hunger" but it ended up it was acid indigestion. I'm on OTC Prilosec.
