Am on day 10 of my pre op diet (four Protein shakes a day plus Jello and sugar free popsicles ) . If my dragon breath is any indicator am in ketosis (its so bad I gross my self out not to mention my poor husband). Surprisingly It has gotten better emotionally ,but am dead tried all the time. It's the night that's the problem.
I wait as long as I can to have that last Protein shake and I have a popsicle or jello before bed. Even with that i have been waking up around 1am with a rumbling tummy . I get up and drink as much Water as I can go back to bed only one be woken up an hour later with the same problem. This goes on until about 7am when I have my first shake.
Am now honestly wishing I had waited to see if I could lower my BMI more so I could at least have the option of eating a lean protein at night(if your BMI is 50< It's the same diet but with a lean protein at night).
