Thank you all for your support, I couldn't be happier and more scared about the journey I am about to go on. After the initial happiness wore off, I got really frightened about all the stuff I know I am going to go through. But I know it will all be worth it in the end, so I will definitely not turn back now!!!

I guess that is right, I never thought about it that way. My real date did turn out to be the 17th of October. It seems so close. I have started shopping for things I will need after surgery. I am still a little freaked out by the liquid and mushie phases, but I will manage. I know I can do this and I am definitely ready. By the way, does anyone know where I can find liquid tylenopl that isnt a cold remedy?:help:

I am just starting my journey to weight loss. I was notified that my insurance company wants me to do a few things before they okay the surgery. 1) I have to take a 3 hour psych eval. 2) I have to meet with a psychiatrist and then the surgery team. 3) I have to send them all of my weight loss attempts documentation. That is where the problem comes in most of my weight loss attempts were ones that I did on my own (ie Atkins Diet, Southbeach Diet, Zone diet, etc.) I am not sure what to send them for documentation on these. Does anyone have any suggestions as I don't want to mess things up with my insurance company?;)

I didnt have any documentation either, so my insurance made me do a 3 month supervised weightloss plan. It wasnt so bad after I got over the initial shock of being denied. Good Luck!

I don't know where you are from so don't know if you have a Ralph's in your area - that's where i found mine - Target doesn't carry it.. But, I think you can google it and order it on line....

Good Lucky - the 17th is a good day - it was the day I was banded too.

Thanks! I feel good about the 17th. Everything kind of fell into place so it feels right. Thanks for the info on Tylenol. I went looking today and didnt find any. I will keep looking. Meanwhile I am back into the stage where I just want the surgery right now. It will come faster than I think though. Just waiting now!! I will start my preop diet very soon! :whoo:

(this is my DIL name too - are you a nurse by chance?)

The nerves are natural - I only had 7 days prepop diet and during that I had to have my colonospcoy (sp) so I had 1 day 7/12 Clear liquids only and then 7/16 clear only too - but the only time i don't eat is when i am nervouse like the day before surgery - so it wasn't too bad - I am a night time eater so that was the hardest for me.

If you have any questions... Just ask - someone will always answer..

Wow, thanks for that! I ordered myself one, and another suggested book by Amazon re: WLS.

No, I am not a nurse, but maybe I will be someday. I was about to enter nursing school when I threw my back out. I am heavy and it caused my back to not heal well. I still have trouble with it, but I am hoping that when I lose weight I can strenghten my back and go for my dream!

(sorry about the unrelated tangent) LOL.

Spiegl.biz:

Thanks for the book referral. I will check it out!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
