No pre-op diet for low BMIers

I read that some Doctors don't require the pre-op diet for those with BMI less than 35.

Just me with surgeon and got my date! March 13th it is! Pre-op class and anesthesiologist meeting March 3rd! No pre-op diet with this surgeon.

    I have a BMI of 40 and wasn't required to do a liquid diet. I only have to do liquids 48 before surgery. I'm scheduled for surgery on 3/13 so this week i'm doing 2 shakes and a sensible dinner. This weekend will be my all liquid diet before surgery.
