I did it too ...it's a struggle. I did fine for surgery. I had lost 30 lbs prior to surgery so my liver had shrunk. Plus I spoke with dietician bc I wasn't doing the Optifast diet, I did an alternate. They ended up letting me actually eat small amounts lean meats salad etc. Good luck this is one of the toughest aspects of this surgery adventure. Get back on track :)

Its ok. Just dont tell your doctor because some drs have cancelled surgery because of that. I know i slipped up 2x myself... But my doctor said it will happen..just try to be strong. Actually some doctors dont require a preop diet....so technically you're doing ok

I started my 10 day pre op liquid diet on Monday the 13th, my sleeve surgery is the 23rd. Today was my birthday and I had such a craving for pizza that stupid me decided it was going to be a really long time before I was able to eat pizza hut pizza again so i went out with my kids and boyfriend for pizza. I had 2 pieces of pizza and 2 breadsticks plus about half glass of sprite. I went straight back to my liquids as soon as I got home and I plan to stick to my liquid diet 100% from now till surgery. Do you think everything will be ok or what do you think I should do

You will be fine hun . No more cheating though. Xxxxxxx

For all those still preop...

Please look at the calendar well ahead of starting the preop diet. If you see a special day falling during the diet phase, please Celebrate early!

Yes, no sense crying over spilled milk, but let's practice putting the lid on the container ;)

Remember, today was tomorrow and will be yesterday. Therefore, you can control yesterday by what you do today. (But only starting today).

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
