Dry mouth and white coating on the tongue

I had my surgery yesterday morning and since last night my mouth is excruciatingly dry. My tongue has a white coating on it too. Nurses and doctors say that they are no sure what it might be. Did it happen to anyone here?

Don't worry about that I had the same make sure you remove it and always keep your lips hydrated with a lipbalm or just wet a napkin with water and pass it over your mouth

I am 5 days out now and was seriously prone to nausea while in the hospital . They warned me of the anti nausea medicine right off the bat could make my mouth just like that. It didn't thankfully.

My doctor said that if that happens to me is because I'm not drinking enough. Be careful because if we don't drink enough, it might give bad breath and the white coat over the tongue. Just drink more Water and use listerine 3 times a day for one week n it will be all gone.
