Pain in my upper left side near rib area

Hi everyone I was just banded two weeks ago and although each day I feel like I'm getting better and better, every so often through out the day I get this really bad pain in my upper left side near my rib area that the starts on the left front side a goes around the left side of my body. Has anyone else experience this pain? There are several people in my family who have the ban and have not experience this pain.

I'm two weeks post op vsg. I had horrendous pain on my left, it wrapped around my

Body, even into my neck. I'm literally in a hospital bed right now being treated for a blood clot in my lung. Yours could just be healing, but I suggest you go see a doc.
