Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Hi

I have decided to get the procedure done - just have to save up for it. I live in uk and want to go to Brussels as it seems cheapest and safest there. Anyone know of the above?

Thanks

welcome back homecare and timeisnow!..youll be glad its all over and your now on the losing side!. you both did really well. youll be feeling better as every day passes, and soon be reporting your weight losses. homecare you say you would do it all again in the blink of an eye!..and look how nervous you were?!..so anyone else who is nervous, youll be fine!

Yes really glad it is over it was the nerves that nearly killed me not the op. I said to Frederic how nervous I was and he ordered a pre-med for me. It came in the form of a white tablet and once I had taken it it made me really sleepy and so relaxed. How is your sister doing havent seen any of her posts on here for a while. Jx

Hi Garry

Can I ask u do u feel like ur going to choke or have you ever choked ? ( I've suffered with reflux for the last few months and it's left me with a bit of a fear of choking ) hope each day continues to get easier for u.

i would say its not like a choke however being honest the first time something sticks and you PB (productive burp) you could panic as its a strange and quite sore feeling but once you understand the signs you dont get it.

glad your feeling better, its normal to be tired, you will need to get your feet up as much as poss for few more days. me and big sister are both doing well thanks, i have 6ml in my band and have good restriction. bigsister has 8ml in hers and is a little on the tight side i think, but it takes a good few weeks of getting used to when you get your restriction, so she wont be having a fill next week but was wondering whether to have a little took out, shes gonna see how it goes, but shes done well with the weight loss, and shes very busy at work, so i keep her informed of how everyones going mainly i wont be having fill either, but am aware that when im down even more, it will loosen so ill need more in. im glad you told your boys, i bet they were a bit worried and thought you were keeping summat from them when they saw you looking bit peaky and with bruises on your arms etc! x

:tongue2: freckles, thanks for popping in and letting us know how you and yours are going on. sorry to hear your mum is back in hospital, wishing you and your family all the best x

sammy, hi!..glad you had great holiday ,and well done on your weight loss!..your doing great..does your husband notice how well your doing?..mine doesnt say anything! think he feels bit threatened really and keeps buying me chocolate etc! i have 6ml in my band and have good restriction at the mo, bigsister has 8ml in hers, i suppose when your getting near to your target, you need more in, so im aware i may lose this restriction as i lose the weight.im happy with how its going..steadily, but its going!...and it will never come back on either, which is the best bit. i measure myself using familiar stuff...like one week ill say ive lost a 'bag of sugar!'..or a 'bag of potatoes'...but now im really proud to be saying i have lost a 'sack of wagg working dog food'!..i cant even lift one up, so thats good!..just waiting for 2 more sacks of dog food to come off! when we went to scarboro at weekend i was walking very easily up the hills etc..and i said to david, im not surprised it feels easier as i havent got a sack of dog food strapped to me!....well thats the way i look at it anyway!..also we had some bricks outide, so i weighed one and piled em up to the amount id lost...its good to see it!..is it just me or is anyone else doing strange things like this?!

nice one gillian we take for granted loosing a pound and not realising what it actully weighs, its would be a good idea for everyone to equate there weightloss to something that you can lift and i think people will get a surprise.

Hi Freckles good to have you back. I hope ur mum gets better soon and her hospital stay is better than last time.

What have you got in ur band now? Is it a 7-9ml?

Wishful & Gillian - hello ladies!! What are you up to now in ur bands? I'm 6.5ml in 7-9ml band (4 fills) and it's pretty tight. The battery has gone on my scales so I can't see if I've lost anything over the past few days! Hopefully I'll be happy when I get it changed!!

Garry -how's ur restriction? Still tight? I worry I'm not drinking enough, I'm really trying though but I'm only drinking half what I normally would.

hi sammy, yeh its fine, if anything possible relxed slightly but not too much, either tht or maybe i am understanding how not to pb and thats why it feel relaxed. I am focusing on getting the water in heavily as i understand the improtance, i am also concious of eating enought protien as i am trining 6 days a week again and meat is quite difficult, i am going to try quorn chicken as the texture is softer however i have ordered a good protien shake to replce brekkie and for after training ensuring i get all the right things.

I ate yesterday,

1 Slimfst for brekkie

a few cappuccinos

1/2 M&S Fresh soup carton (could have ate all but had no time)

1 lasagne for tea

so all in all i reckon about 1200 cals so thats a good reduction.

thanks garry..yes it is surprising when you actually do it this way..i cant lift a bag of dog food even(17kg), well not without my back hurting and straining, so just look at what a strain i was having on my body before?! it puts it into perspective this way doesnt it!..roll on that next 2 bags of dog food! x

Thank you all my dear friends for all your kind words.

Gillian you have got it sorted kid, well done you!!

As you lose weight the band loosens which is why you need more fills, thats what I've been told.

I am very slow losing, driving me nutz...I am sorry to say I am smoking again, simply because I have no will power and the weight was so damn slow coming off.

But I am watching that I dont creep back up to too many a day, like before.

Sammy ...brilliant that you have lost weight and have been on hols, just shows that you thought you were scoffing and you werent lol.:tongue2:

Forgot to say , someone asked (Shoes I think) how many fills I have had.

Only 3, am having my 4th on Thursday.

My daughter suffered with an acid reflux, for months and she didnt do anything about it. Needless to say the weight fell off.

I know its horrible cos I was like that when I had my 3rd fill, I thought I was going to choke every night as soon as I layed down, its a scarey feeling Anita.

I dont think its the same feeling you get when you need to PB Garry, from my experience anyway :tongue2:

Sammy had it after a fill too, it is quite normal apparently.

Now can anyone tell me exactly what they can eat atm, the peeps who are losing weight rapidly, cos I dont/cant eat a meal at all even if its on a tea plate.

The most I ate yesterday was 3 crackerbreads with a slice of cheddar and slice of tomato on, that was my main meal, but my weight loss is so slow even with the smoking.

Gillian this is brilliant!!! :cursing:

I was just sitting here thinking 'ooh, thats 6 bags of sugar...' but I love the Wagg one, I have a sack sitting downstairs and that's a real target!

Well done you! :tongue2:

Hi all hope you are all doing well regards your personal targets!

and a big thank you to everyone for the kind wishes re my return from brussels and post surgery:smile:

i have a question regarding fills and hope someone can help me....???

i can have my first fill on thursday 30th July with ECFS but not booked it yet, reason being i have a wedding on the saturday 1st august 2 x days afterwards.

i believe you have to stay on liquids for a day or two after being filled???do you think i should be ok to have a drink and eat something like soup, small meal at the actual wedding and not have too much problems?

any help on this will be much appreciated:wink2:

also booked in with WLS on the 11th August and have taken out their special offer of 6 months aftercare/fills, sounds a very good deal.:tongue2:
