Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Hi

I have decided to get the procedure done - just have to save up for it. I live in uk and want to go to Brussels as it seems cheapest and safest there. Anyone know of the above?

Thanks

Hi Michelle

I'm also getting banded on the 7th :) .What time do u arrive ? I arrive mid morning on the 6th. It would b gr8 if we could meet up. Are u going alone ? I'm going alone as my hubby has been working away the past few weeks and actually flies home on the 6th unfortunately I'll not get 2 c him  (I decided 2 stick with the cancellation date I was offered) I told him a girl has priorities he wasn't impressed then he will be looking after the children (3). It will do him good to have the kids for a few days (2) are teens. I didn't want to start organizing childminders too many questions would have been asked.

In re. to ur ? I got nurofen melts, deflatine, simethicone to ease wind pains, dextro energy I'm also takign taking gaviscon dual as i think they are gr8 for wind and reflux. And I'll go out day I arrive and get bottles of water.

Can anyone tell me r there shops nearby as I don't want 2 b wandering 2 far on my own.

Can't wait 2 chat 2 u Michelle

Hi to everyone, I have not been on for about a week, work, home, kids hubby etc. I am going to try and get on here more often. I have just been to a meeting for weight loss surgery peeps in Manchester 2day, it was so good to see people who had had the same sugery as me to chat to these people, some of them had had gastric bypasses, they had some realy goood info and advise for me and everyone els who was there, the whole meeting was realy good.

I just hope you peeps are all doing well and are happy, I am going to read all your messages now and try and chat up. I still have no restriction and could if i did eat as much as I want xx Mandy

Heya Fatduck: Maybe I will see you on the day. if not goodluck. I am at Campanile hotel monday night with my mum. Ready for the big day the next day Tuesday  :tt1:

Hey Rose, Good to here from you!! I hope to meet up with you on Monday night, not sure how we'll know each other though, we'll just have to look out for nervous looking individuals who look like they enjoy there food :).

How are you feeling now that the days are creeping away towards d-day or perhaps I should call it b- day!

It's still all a bit surreal for me to be honest, like it's not really happening to me but to a character in a book I'm reading- all a bit weird. I think that this dreamlike feeling is probably whats stopping me from feeling nervous. That will probably all change on Sunday night :):scared2::blink:.

Hope to speak soon.

Cheers,

Vikki

Hiya everyone, I'm back and feeling better after a couple of days rest. Still a bit sore but getting better each day.

To those going out soon - good luck and try not to worry! :)

Everything went as expected - the hotel is fine, the hospital is nice and everything was efficient and well organised.

I took the train from the airport to the hotel, if you haven't booked a package including taxi and want a cheaper option I would recommend this. It was very easy and only cost 3 euros rather than 20 for a taxi. You get the train straight from the airport for 1 stop (Brussels Nord) then catch the train going to Antwerp for 1 stop (Vilvoorde) - it didn't take long and the station is a 5 min walk from the hotel - easy!

I wouldn't recommend it on the way back if you're on your own with a heavy bag to lug about, I got a taxi back as it's easier.

SO glad you got on OK. Now you can look forward to seeing the weight drop off!

I text Freckles yesterday to see how she is getting on. She say hi but her mum is in hospital again with suspected internal bleeding so obviously she's not been able to get on the board.

Lots of love to u and ur family Freckles x

Morning everyone else. I went to a fete yesterday and had some candy floss! :frown: Not too good for the waistline but it was yum and went down fine (unsurprisingly)! Band still tight but manageable. I hope I don't have these horrible feelings of everytime I have a fill from now on - uncomfortable to drink (not painful like last time) etc.

The battery in my scales is dead so need to get a new one ASAP! I'm 5 kg off my pre-pregnancy weight (I was big b4 pregnancy though) which is my first mini target by August whichi s when I return to work. Mainly because I don't want ot have to buy new clothes that I hopefully wouldn't be in long! Once I get to thatweight that'll be 20kg off. Then I'd like ot lose another 20kg (maybe 30kg but it seems surreal!) at least but haven't set any time frames.

I am starting to notice the difference. My face is starting to look a little slimmer and my back better (got some back pain after giving birth - blamed it on the baby but probably more the weight gain!!). I can also get up and down off the floor much more gracefully - I found it a bit of a struggle sometimes!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the site and I was just wondering if anyone has any advice for me, I am going to be banded on the 11th August with CDB.

I am really excited but also a little apprehensive. Is anyone else going out then or how does anyone feel after having it done?

Any info would be really helpful, thanks,

Maysh:smile:

Hi anitahug,

Are you going for your banding on 7th July with Dr Chris? So am I. I am staying at the Campanile Hotel. Do you or anyone else know what happens if you choose to have your consultation the night before at the hotel? I'm not worried about the op, cant wait.

hi Michelle, I am also being banded on 7th July. I am staying at the Campanile Hotel, arriving on the 6th. Where are you staying? Looks like 3 of us on the same day. Havent spoken to anyone else but just sent Anitahug a message too.

Get in touch

Lisa

Glad ur getting on OK. I found it got worse before it got better. Last night I had that horrid night reflux. Not too bad but enough to keep waking me up so I'm knackered this morning!! I had some water just before I went to sleep so that must've done it. I feel really tight this am - great! Hopefully it'll loosen throughout the day. I tried a bit of mushed food last night so that may have contributed (stayed on liquids pretty much for 6 days).

Hubby going back tomorrow :frown: for another 8 weeks. I'll be back at work by the time I see him again. Another horrible thought!! :smile2:

aw thats a wee shame about your hubby> I am getting the hang of my restriction now, i have sussed to really take time, i can only eat mushy food but thats cool, and at the first gurggle at back of throat to stop and wait then continue as i found out that carrying on after gurggle leads to a little pain and the forming of that lovely gloop and if it does not shift at that then the little bit of food in pouch comes up> i got that far a couple of times yesterday and after that i could get nothing down even water for a good few hours. Today i have got the hang and not Pb at all and managed to get decent ammount of fluid, porridge for brekkie, a small plate of lentil curry then a small ammount (tiny) of rice with sauce tonight. I think i am very tight as meat is a no no but i am happy to put up with it as my weight has moved quite a bit even since thurs. I am so motivated again and just glad that the band is finally doing what its ment.
