Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Hi

I have decided to get the procedure done - just have to save up for it. I live in uk and want to go to Brussels as it seems cheapest and safest there. Anyone know of the above?

Thanks

Cheers Flirty,

Just phoned WLS and Colleen said that you can only get your first fill with them from 6 weeks and the £120 initial assessment and fill are included in the 6 month package price. Mandyfielding, the phone number for Colleen is 08007879029, i phoned her this morning and she rang me back within half an hour x

Tee bird, thanks for the info, I will ring 2moz, see you next thurs, Mandy

Hi guys another question for you. Do you hear anything from frederic or CDB before you leave for Belgium. Its just Ive been thinking about the pre op diet and stuff and I was wondering if they email you with any instructions about it. Also about the taxi when arriving in Belgium. If youve bought the package does the driver wait for you at airport with your name on a sign or What? I think pre op nerves are starting to kick in and nothings going to plan at the moment. J x

 flipping ech peeps, I have at long last put a pic of myself on here, I have been at it for weeks.LOL xxxxxxx

well done mandy!!;you sound about as hi tec as me when it comes to computers! i had to enrol on a course about 6 years ago, it took the first 2 lessons to learn how to switch it on! i had to learn to stop calling the monitor a telly, and the keyboard a typewriter too! about another 3 months on i learned how to email! lol! if i hadnt tho i wouldnt have found dr chris, so glad i did! x

Hey homecare, i went through Bridget for the op booking and uopn email confirmation, there were attachments included detailing a very brief description of the pre-op diet. I didn't hear from Frederick or Dr DB, from what Frederick said to us in Belgium, they're both extremely busy and take ages to read emails x

Hi homecare try not too worry too much im sure everything will run smoothly for you.. the pre op diet is just low fat so dont worry too much about the calories, it is the fat content, as this will shrink your liver and make the op easier for dr chris. x

homecare you dont normaly hear from fred or dr chris before the op .I had to send fred my flight details so the taxi driver new when your arriving. He will be holding up a sign with the ecfs logo on it.And they expect you to follow a low fat diet for two weeks before the op.

Hi penny it was the time of the month for me and the morning of the op i we were told too take our under wear off.. i explained too the nurse about it being the time of the month and then told i could keep them on, thank god. I dont have a easy time of it either but i really wouldnt change your app.. you never know if your worried about it it might make you late x

Hi ladies,

Just wondering if anyone has heard if Wls have abandoned their no 6 month packages to newbies?? I'm hoping to use them post my banding on the 23rd June. I also seem to have developed an unnatural craving for fatty foods in anticipation of the op I'm praying that I can get started in a low fat plan from today and have dug out my old ww books to try to use them as a reference.

i sara, i will ask them this when i go for my fill with them on tuesday. i will let it be known people are upset about this. altho wendy is the fill nurse, she may be able to give some feedback on our comments to the management at WLS. dunno if it will make any difference, but i can try for nothing. dont let this put anyone off WLS though as its still good value when you add up all the fills and the advice, newsletters, 24hour help and the expertise they offer with their team.

Thanks Teebird, bobobaldy ,wishful and Gillian for replying. So what your saying is I have to email frederic with my flight details?

When i paid my deposit i emailed him to tell him i had done this and sent my flight details for going out and coming back.

Hi Homecare just e.mail Fred with you flight number and time of arrival, then when you arrive outside of the arrivals bay look for the blue and green logo for ecfs you taxi driver will be waiting there for you holding the sign up, he will speak English so no worries there, the taxi rank is just outside the doors, he will know exactly where to take you he's more of a chauffer than a taxi driver and the cars are lovely and large with leather interior.

I would also e.mail Fred your departure details also so that he has them on record.

The next Morning the day of the op go to reception within the hotel and your taxi will meet you there, the driver will know your room number,so that you wont get mixed up with anyone else, again he will know exactly when to take you.

Communication is a bit slack but the arrangements always work without a hitch.
