Wow! thank you so much for that reset chart, I'm only out 7 months but every once in a while I question what will happen when that time comes. This is really good to have, thank you and good luck everybody who's going to try it. I'll be doing this soon enough!!

Have you had much success with this?!

I did it last year. It helped me through a stall. However by day 4 I was having some seriously massive headaches. I may do it again once I break out of the 240lbs range with my weight.

I did the complete 5 days and have the same diet since day 5. My restriction is back 100% Protein shakes and Water consumption is the most important to keep you from munching.

So you stay on day 5?

Well technically we should all be on day 5 for the rest of our lives. Solid Proteins some low carb fruits and veggies. Although life tends to happen and we sometimes stray, these are our new tummy's policy. Or so I've been told

So you do the five days and then you just continue with day 5?

Yep, it's real simple, guys. You will lose some degree of restriction eventually. If I eat carbs, I gain. If I stop exercising, I gain. I have to stick with the program, and eat mostly Protein and vegetables, or I will gain. I don't do perfect, but about 80% of the time. I am currently losing again by finally coming to terms with the simple truths.

Here is my other tip. Learn to be comfortable being hungry. I'm serious. Our stomachs are not supposed to be full all the time. Get comfortable with drinking liquids all the time, and always drink Water first when you think you're hungry.

I go To Leports support group on Thursdays at Fountain Valley, do you go?

I want to reste so much, but so hungry lately, 18 months out, afraid to try it, but will for sure soon. I do workout alot 4-5 times a week spin and trainer, but stopped tracking and sure I am over my calories, thanks for the posts, it is comforting to know we all have the same struggles at times

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
