What is wrong with literal overly sensitive assholes?

Not harsh at all, very informative. They obviously were overly sensitive

Long story short even though i recently got sleeved. My dietician was impressed with my recovery and all of the changes i've made thus far. So she asked me to come speak at two of her pre-op diet classes and answer questions for other newbies, give them tips and so on. Needless to say the class actually went REALLY WELL. I felt like i helped a lot of people through there fears and put them at ease.

I posted a recap on another support group blog for those who missed the class and it was like crucified by overly sensitive literal IQ under 12 assholes. And i can't take it. I was only trying to help, which i did. WTF.

It was like they were all judging me for sharing MY own experiences. I don't know what to do. We all have ups and downs but damn don't get mad at me for having a few ups, aren't we supposed to help each other out???

I was most frustrated because the comments were all from people who didn't attend the class so they have no clue about what i was actually sharing or what questions got asked.

Don't let them get to you I a newby and I am trying so hard to read everything I can to educate myself and research what I am planning for my body to go thru. There is always one in the group who casts dismay over others. You should be proud that you tried to educate some people, this group has no place for people who don't want to learn.

Fantastic advice!!!! I am always looking for ideas and help as i go on this journey. I will be having a gastric bypass sometime this summer. I attend 2 support groups a month per the requirements of the program and have a few tests to be done before than. Thank you for posting your advice and keep up the great work. Don't worry about the negative comments. Thanks again.

@@mountainman2292 you are sooo welcome. I was glad i could help. Even though i had the sleeve i do know several people who had gastric bypass. You will be just fine and we're always here to help as you need it. I will say many of my gastric by pass friends have to work a little harder to avoid high fat foods and high sugar foods or foods high in starches in order to avoid dumping symdrome.

When you are eating, the more moist the food is the easier it will be to swallow. Which is why the croc pot and pressure cooker come in handy, you can also use fat free gravies or broth if needed. This usually applies to meat.

Congrats to you on starting your life over. Wishing you the best of luck!!

experience. I have a mentor who helped me with a lot

of questions and concerns pre op and now post op.

@@xoxococojay I personally don't see anything offensive but since I don't know what exactly people wrote as answer I don't have an opinion when it comes to the reactions you got.

Wow im a newbie here and i learned more from this post than i did from the health care office i go to sure they answer your questions but they wait till you have one to give the information out. Plus learning this from someone who has gone through it helps alot, my nut tells me her meal plan for me and only offers what is on paper nothing else unless i ask.

@@doxaholic you can eat anything that you want (provided that it still agrees with you post op) it literally just about making better choices. So if your NUT meal plan is to strict to follow, play around with things. For example, i love italian food. So i made a really lean version of chicken parm. (No breading, or pasta) kept my portions in check and i was fine. I don't want you think that you have to eat like a rabbit. Enjoy it. You can still eat yummy foods. I'm not sure if you have started shakes yet, but any shake that is under 200 calories, 5g of sugar or less, and at least 20g of Protein is fine. I like premier, Protein milkshake bar, GNC, Isopure, pure protein is ok, and of course the bariatric specific ones like powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and Bariatric Advantage. Find what you like. People also seem to love Syntrax Nectars. I haven't tried it yet though. I hope that helps. Just remember when eating food, protein and veggies first so if you get full before you're other carbs then that's ok.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
