Band tubing protruding

Would appreciate advice- I had my band placed on the 10th of september and since the op a section of tubing is protruding beneath the skin- very visably! It is painful - especially when sitting. I saw my surgeon a couple of days ago - who said to lie on my front and it would probably ajust position. Has anyone had this experience and if so did it settle or require further intervention.

A girl I know has had it twice. Both times required surgery to fix it.

I believe it was laparoscopic. I'm not sure. I will PM you some information.

A wee update on my tubing problem. Apparently it was a new type of band that I have had inserted that is not very flexible. Going back into hospital next week to have the tubing buried into abdomen. Hopefully the procedure will be possible at the site and not laparoscopically.
