hi new member from south africa

Hi everyone.my name is Kelly and I live in South Africa where I am a pioneer(no one has ever ever heard of the lap band here)am 12th person to be banded in the the whole country apparently!!)

Great forum and I am so glad I have found it!

Was banded on 9th July 2003

292 current 266 goal 185 am 1.80m tall feet??? have no idea

Had to use calculator to work out pounds from kilograms!!

Good luck to evryone starting on this journey!

    Hi Kelly - WELCOME to the group!! Congratulations on being one of the few people to have the surgery done in Africa. You are making a big difference over there where that is concered!! I have yet to get banded but hopefully within the next few months I will be joining the "Land of Bands"!!! Once again, welcome!
