Does anyone who has BCBS received a Summary of Health Plan Payments after surgery?

I received a few. One for the surgery itself, and two others for like, pathology and radiology services. These aren't bills, but it breaks down the cost of the services, how much BCBS is paying, and how much I'll owe. It actually says "your healthcare provider will bill you this amount" at the bottom.

When can I expect the actual bill to come? I was sleeved on 11/11. It's great that they are giving me a heads-up I guess, but I'd rather just get the bill and be done with it.

My deceased mother was still receiving medical bills 2 years after her passing. Insurance and medical billing moves at a glacial pace sometimes.

Your doctor bills the insurance company and then waits to see how much they are willing to pay. The insurance company sends a similar summary of payments to the doctor, so the doctor can now send you a bill for the difference.

You will receive a bill from doctor once he makes sure the Blues have paid your entitled benefits.
