I don't do that well w ground meat but it's funny how sometimes things are ok and sometimes they just aren't. It varies for me based on the day sometimes. Hope you feel better soon. I was sleeved on 11/7 and my surgeon had me on liquids for 4 weeks! Awful.

Turkey burgers are way too dry to eat that soon post op.

You can eat ground meats but they need to be moist, very moist.

ugh, that sucks!! My doc said to pull back and then try again in a few weeks when I hit a food that doesn't sit well.

wait, when were you sleeved? I'm not suppose to try stuff like that for a while longer. I'm at 8 weeks right now.

We are sleeve sisters! I was sleeved on 11/14 too.

I am still on pureed. But will remind myself when I start soft foods to stay away from the turkey burger for awhile.

Also, it's funny... I like the canned chicken, but can't stand the canned tuna!

I guess my doctor is more progressive... I'm a week out and cleared for basically everything except raw vegetables and beef/pork/lamb. Skipped full liquids and mushy completely.

Hi, I was sleeved too on Nov 14th and I truly believe it's too early for that kind of food. I'm still on petted puréed until Monday Dec 12th, then I move to soft for 2 weeks.

Don't Hurt Yourself check with your doctor to see if it's OK for you to be eating that kind of food this early.

Also, I'm not sure, but you may still be at risk of causing a leak which is a very bad and serious problem that you don't want

@@Fredbear I was cleared for any/everything at 4 weeks. Not that I ate any/everything, but I was 'allowed' to.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
