I need to lose weight before my sergury

Hi everyone, I need to lose 10-15 lbs before sergury in March .

I am thinking about joining WW .

Hi. That's a good Idea, I'd most certainly think you will lose that on weight watchers. But if you do the liquid diet before hand, I'm sure that will take that 15lbs off. Good luck ????xxx

You can also do phase 1 of the south beach diet.... atleast that was what i was put on to loose thw weight prior to my surgery

I had to lose too, and I just followed the post-op diet the best I could. 1000 calories, Protein first, no carbs. I needed to lose 10 pounds, but I lost 35...in six weeks.

I was fortunate enough to see a dietitian. She gave me a plan to follow.

Premier Protein Shake:

Comes in 3 flavors.

vanilla

strawberry

chocolate

7:am shake

Water w/ fruit I froze for flavor DRINK All day...

11:am shake

3:pm snack or shake

6:pm A Good dinner

Example of snacks:

1)Cottage cheese w/turkey sandwich slice

2)Pear w/Peanut butter

3) 12-16 Almonds

Dinner:

1)Baked chicken Breast, broccoli and rice.

2)Salmon, Quinoa and salad.

3)Whole Wheat Pasta spaghetti, w/turkey spinach baked meatballs.

Protein unflavored powder. Sprinkle on food. Helps you stay full.

Oh...I would also mix it in my Water too!

The reason why the doctor has you lose weight before surgery is so you're liver will decrease in size and the surgery will be easier for both of you. Good luck and best wishes!

Premier Protein also has a banana and creme shake now that is pretty good. it's a nice change from the basic flavors
