New Journey, newbie in New Orleans

Hi I'm very new, I finished my seminar today and I'm so happy I found this option. I've been overweight my whole life over 200 lbs for the past 13 years. I have type 2 diabetes and other issues. I'm looking forward to starting to live again! I have 3 kids and I'm getting married again to a wonderful man. I'm ready to have my life back. Any advice on what's next, what to expect and united insurance?

I can't advise you on United insurance (I have BCBS Anthem), but I did want to say welcome. And I live in New Orleans as well.

My insurance required me to do a six-month doctor supervised diet program, 1 psych evaluation, and 1 visit with a nutritionist. I started everything in March and was sleeved on September 28.

Good luck as you start the journey!

Congratulations! I had United Healthcare through my husband's insurance plan, but I switched to BCBS with my employer. So, for my husbands plan, I needed a BMI of 35 or 40 with 2 co-morbidities and 3 months of nutritional visits.
