It was easier for me the first and second year sleeved. The first year I had no candy because I was only 2 months post op, last year I was at goal and I think I had 1 peice. This year in maintenence for a year it's been hard. I've had several Kit Kats. But I'll be running them off tomorrow and detoxing off sugar again for sure!

I have been wearing it all month to get my money's worth since hopefully it will be too big next year!

HOPEFULLY!?!?!!

GIRL! Did you just feel me roll my eyes at you? By this time next year, you'll be stuffing it full of tissue and wearing it as a pumpkin costume. I have NO doubt.

I've had four or five minis between yesterday and today. They were yummy, but not exciting. I am definitely PMSing or I'd probably only had one or two. This is the only time of the month I really want chocolate.

Four or five isn't great, but considering that pre-op I would have massacred the whole bag, it's great. At three and a half years post op, I also know what I need to do to counter that chocolate. :)

Nope, not tempted too much by candy...on the other hand my hubby is sitting across from me eating a huge bag of freshly popped buttery popcorn. I'm staring daggers right now. Popcorn is my kryptonite. I could live on popcorn alone. Oh I could seriously kill him right now....then take his popcorn...

I am a huge advocate of allowing yourself to eat some junk sometimes, and Halloween seems like as good a time as any to have a few pieces of candy. I didn't have any candy at all, and it didn't occur to me that I might want any. I tend to stay away from sweets because they both make me gain weight and make me feel sick, but it took probably about 2 years post-sleeve to get to a point where I can really say that I don't much care about candy anymore.

I had a couple of pieces yesterday. I figured it was Halloween so go ahead and have a treat. But today is November 1st, not Halloween anymore, so therefore back on the wagon I go! We didn't get many trick or treaters this year, so tonight I did up bags of candy to take to my co workers tomorrow. If it's not in the house there's no temptation for me to eat it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
