11 days out and ive lost 10 lbs... I had been having some severe lower abdomen pains.... doctor feels is constipation...I've only have 2 bowel movements, 1 6 days post op and I took a major Sh!t ???????????? later that night after my doctors appts...today was day 12 and I can say I feel alot better....I'm getting in the recommended fluids but in still dehydrated....to me I feel like I'm drinking the same amount of fluids pre op.....I have 64 oz jug that I use to track my Water consumption, but I WAS one of those ppl that drink tremendously WHILE eating also as well a getting in 64 oz of water so I think/know that my require way more that 64 oz to be fully hydrated. I also have no sense of thirst or hunger which makes it harder for me to consume even more water....but I have no complaints it's not a race, it a marathon so is about the long run of things.

Congratulations! I just joined this group this evening. My surgery is Monday morning (a revision from a VBG to an RNY). I'm just starting to get nervous! ???? I am in a support group that I go to once a month, but they don't seem very supportive, and I wanted desperately to find something before surgery that would help! This looks like it! !! ????

I'm 4 weeks out and what I have learned is the fluids are weird for every doctor. My surgeon says 64 oz daily, my nut says 80 Oz daily, my pcp says as long as I am peeing 4 to 5 times a day, and it is a good quantity and light yellow to clear I'm hydrated, my body tells me I am hydrated at about 55-60 oz a day. I have 3 to 4 10 oz hot herbal teas a day plus 2 or 3 Protein shakes (12 oz) anything above that is extra
