My surgery is scheduled for the 25th. I have my pre-op appointment with the NUT and surgeon on the fourteenth so i won't have the full two week pre-op diet but figured i should get started getting used to the liquid only and also try to figure out which Protein supplements I like. I am going to do liquids during the day and eat a small reasonable dinner of protein and veggies for the next two weeks. I am hoping this philosophy will help me when i have to do all day liquid diet.
My question is, and I know there will be a variety of answers, but how many protein supplements are you typically take during pre-op? I copied what someone else posted and am trying to follow it but wondered what others had suggested to them. This one calls for four per day along with broth, Water, milk and Jello. Is that reasonable?
