During phase 2 of the post-op diet, meals are limited to 1-2oz or 1/4 cup. The bariatric cream Soups are 6 to 8 oz when mixed. Since they are also "liquid" meals, does this mean I should consume 1/4th cup for a meal and consume the other 6 oz over 3 separate meals or if it can be consumed until full?

I don't know. At that stage I was just sipping something all day. I didn't really focus on meal times. I just made sure I was sipping something that would get me to my Protein and/or Fluid targets.

Go to the settings wheel to the right of your name at the top of the page and click on the ticker link in the dropdown menu. It will provide the appropriate code to add to sites and posts. The bottom code is the one to use for these forums

The Soups are not counted as your mushy good. Its liquid so you just drink at the appropriate rate.

Thanks, that makes sense.

I've just connected a vivofit and myfitnesspal.com and was pleasantly surprised at the depth of the food database, including the Bariatric Pal items.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
