I am hoping someone may have some experience with this. I had my surgery in Mexico in Jan. Have had no complications. Last week I ended up in ER with pancreatitis caused by gall stones, they removed my gallbladder. I am curious if my insurance will try and deny due to it being a possible complication from the surgery. Has anyone had to deal with any of this or know how ins might work? Thanks in advance.

I doubt it. You can get gallstones without having WLS. It's not really a complication of surgery but a response from rapid weight loss.

What @@KristenLe said. I am pre WLS but had my gallbladder out like 15 years ago after losing a measly 40 pounds on Weight Watchers. It is common after any weight loss. Hope you are feeling better, now I am SO happy I got rid of that sucker already
