extremely dry mouth

surgery was 9/22 every night since the day of surgery i've been waking up many times a night with such dry mouth it actually hurts there isn't a drop of Water in there. i take a drink every time i wake up, but unsure what is causing this. it was happening even when i was hooked up to an IV so i don't think i could be dehydrated

    yes i no longer experience this and my clinic checked me out im not dehydrated :) it just went away after awhile! i don't believe it's from dehydration because it happened as soon as i left the hospital for a week or more, and of course while in hospital i was on IV so no way dehydrated
