Eating/Drinking Too Much, Too Fast

Recommended Posts

I'm 13 days post-op and I feel like I can eat too much, too fast. For example, in the morning, I drink a full 8oz Protein Shake which takes me about an hour to finish. I think that's fine, but then over the past couple days I've been feeling hungrier more often. So, I try to eat a couple ounces of Protein rich foods throughout the day, and then a second protein shake in the evening. Have I stretched my sleeve already? Is that why I'm feeling hungrier? Is this normal?

I seem to. E having the same issue I'm two moths out and I can eat quite a bit of food. I think I have to constantly remind myself to slow down and allow my stomach to send messages to my brain saying that's enough and not eat until I feel full

You need to stick to portions sizes. I felt like I was straving, I couldn't sip I had to gulp. I couldn't nibble I had finish it. It's so hard. I know I was regretting it like crazy but think lifestyle change everything you used to do didn't work. Take your time!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
