This is my first ever surgery and I don't know if it's a normal thing but my stomach feels numb when I touch it. It's mainly in the front near my belly button area. Surgery was 9/15/16

Sometimes numbness from anesthesia takes a long time to go away in certain areas. And our nerve endings take a while to come back to normal. Hang in there and as you heal and move around you should feel a normal coming back of that area. Me, I think my whole belly is numb and my incision sites get super hot. I run my belly like I'm pregnant. Haha. My pouch is my new baby. Maybe I should give her a name. Haha.

I had numbness after my c section that lasted for a few years.

The numbness is usually temporary. I had all sortsa incision site adventures after my RNY. Numbness went away after a couple weeks. Im 14 months out and to this day, if i hit my incision or bump it hard enough, it aggravates the scar tissue underneath and Incision site will even sometimes still ooze fluid out or just get red and puffy for a day or two then go back to normal like nothing happened.

My stomach was and still is numb , but getting better every day !! I was sleeved 8/31

Happens with surgery sometimes, nothing to worry about. I have a numb area about the size of my palm in the same spot from surgery.
