Going for surgery in one day....nervous and worried.

I am going through an emotional roller coaster ride. I have help for when i come home but how will my body react? Will i be hungry for five days before i get to Protein drinks? Worried because i hear horror stories about surgeries gone bad.

You won't know how your body will react until after you have your surgery.

I was hungry for the 1st 2 weeks post op, when I was on liquid phase.

Got better on purees, then much better on Soft/Mushy phase.

I also had bad reflux, and had to get a stronger med, this was making me feel more hungry before I swapped to Nexium.

The horror stories are a small percentage and I would not focus on them.

Everyone's journey is individual.

Why not read Success stories instead, and focus on them.

Good luck and I hope you have smooth surgery and recovery! :)
