September Sleevers!

Hello all,

I wanted to make a separate thread for all of the September sleevers to post updates and share tips. Of course any and everybody is welcome!

I am 13 days post op and feeling great. Still on liquids, so my diet is mostly Water and Protein shakes. I'm not feeling hungry at all, and "head hunger" only lasted a few days. Tonight was the first night I have seen my close friends since surgery and everyone was betting on how much I've lost. It made me feel good and gave me a spring in my step. I haven't weighed myself and I'm waiting to see how much I've lost since surgery for my first post op visit on Monday. I can't wait to see who was closest.

The only downside is I've developed a cold. It's irritating but I'm managing. All of the coughing has me a little concerned that I will pop a staple or something. I spoke to my surgeons PA and she was not concerned about that occurring. I'm on the upswing and expect the cold to be out of my system in a day or so.

How is everyone else doing? I hope everyone is healing and resting.

  • So ingot chopped on the 14th. I've been averaging 85oz of liquids and 75g of Protein via shakes. I've also been walking in chunks around the neighborhood and find myself racking up about 2 miles a day

  • I had my gastric sleeve on 9-8-16..today makes two months for me. The beginning was rough because I developed a strangulated hernia and had to have a second surgery a week later but all in all I'm doi

I am exactly 1 week post op today. Still have a lot of spasms. Clear fluids... im not hungry but watching people bite into a fresh bread roll with ham and cheese making me crave that. I had a bad reaction to anesthesia for over 48hrs. Yesterday I avoided drinking much because of the spasms and pain which I think made me dehydrated this morning. I have come good since

Haha, I have also been craving a deli sandwich.

Hi everyone! I had the sleeve done Monday morning and was discharged Tuesday. I'm struggling with gas pain and dread having to cough. Other than that, I'm doing pretty well. I am struggling with head hunger and am looking forward to the soft food stage.

Same here!, I can't wait until I can actually chew something. Even if it's a bite or two. It's officially been a week for me.

I had my surgery 9/26 I am in a lot of pain in my calves and last night the poop was so painful I was screaming, I did think it would be painful no surgery is easy but I didn't think it would be like this. Currently I am in the hospital er room waiting for results on an ultrasound of my legs to make sure I don't have a blood clot:(

I don't feel hunger at all and I am down 18lbs since my starting weight
