Things To Buy:

Hey! So I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this since I'm relatively new to this app. Anyways I will be having the surgery in October and I'm trying to get prepared and I was wondering if y'all had an suggestions on things that I would need post-op that aren't necessarily mentioned in the material. I'll put my initial list below. Thanks!

The List (so far):

Smooth Move Tea

Papaya Enzyme

Heating Pad

Gas X Chewables

Melatonin

Milk of Magnesia

Stool Softeners

I would recommend that you add Probiotics.

Generally during surgery and while you are in the hospital they will treat you with antibiotics in order to minimize the possibility of an infection. This will destroy not only the bad bacteria but also the good bacteria in your gut. You need to re-establish colonies of these good bacteria by using a probiotic.

There are lots of lists on this site, but I'll try to give you some suggestions off the top of my head:

Biotene spray

Heating pad

Shaker bottle(s) for Protein shakes

Water bottle(s)

Small food storage containers for portion control

Herb and decaf teas

Mio drops, crystal light, etc.

liquid Tylenol (not children's)

Food scale

Measuring cups and spoons

Journal

Binder or other holder for all of your paper/materials (if your program doesn't provide you with a binder)

Lip balm

Protein shake single serve samples

ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrate

ProtiDiet hot chocolate
