I have been on nexplantonbirth control implant for three years prior to surgery. Then this January it came back and now it's here again. Is there any birth control that is doing its job for my other group members. I been advised against another surgery to remove Everything

Please help , I just am so furstated. Because I am at a good point where clothes look good again (only 22 pounds to go ) and don't want blood in them . Thanks for listening

I would ask you bariatric team if you could have an ablation of your uterus. You'll no longer have a period and you will still have your ovaries to continue producing hormones. That is, of course, if you plan on not ever having children.

I had the ablation/novasure about 6-8 months ago, bled a little afterwards maybe ( can't really remember) but I haven't had a period since. ☺ thankfully!!!

I cannot recommend ablation. I had it and all was well for about a year then I had horrible pain. I had fibroids growing on the outside of my uterus. They could not grow inside due to the ablation. I had a hysterectomy not long after. I kept my ovaries. The hysterectomy was the best decision of my life! That and this new sleeve. =)

Here my input an ablation does not always stop periods. It depends on how much of the uterus lining is left behind (ideally none), normally a little. This can cause bleeding after a year or so because the uterine tissue can grow back some. It is why doing ablations in your late 30s isn't a great option. Also u still need back up birth control with an ablation! Usually an iud ( if your uterus post ablation can support it )because if there is any lining in your uterus there is a slim chance an embryonic sac could attach to it and ta-da you are pregnant! A very high risk one at that. Because your uterus will be very unstable. However it does not mean u can't carry to term. So bottom line some ablations still have bleeding for multiple reasons and u still need birth control with the ablation regardless.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
