When I want to eat something that I cannot eat I chew it until it's mush and than spit it out. It helps with the hunger pains from not being able to eat. Does anyone else do this?

Have you tried freezing crystal lite in ice trays. Its helpful when you want to chew on something and the cold is nice in the tummy. I also tried putting icecubes in my blender and making snow cones with different sf drinks and Protein drinks.

Good luck

STOP! I have had eating disorders and while trying to overcome bulimia I began to chew/spit. It most certainly is an eating disorder and can become a difficult habit to break.

Many of us got to be obese by using food to self soothe. I've spent years in therapy for this. Prior to getting WLS I made sure I had enough self soothing tools at hand so I wouldn't be tempted to turn to food.

Please talk to your dietician or therapist if you have one. Seek help. You're turning to food for reasons other than nutrition. I'm not judging you-I've been there. I want to see you succeed in losing weight and keeping it off. You may not feel like eating now but you will.

Sending hugs :)

I have been working very close with my surgeon and nutritionist. I have tried every form of Protein and anything other than Water and I throw up. I have heard before it's a eating disorder but didn't think I want that bad. Just drinking Water is so nasty sometimes. I can't even get Vitamins in. They were going to put me on a Vitamin patch but I'm allergic to adhesive. The next step is IV Vitamin infusion.

Some doctors prescribe vitamin cocktail shots...mostly for people with chronic fatigue syndrome.

Makes sense to me: Not eating cures hunger. Bottle it and you'll make millions.

No I get blood work tomorrow and see the dr on the 24th. @@casenior

I cancelled my barium swallow bc it would of been my 4th swallow test. I am tired of all the radiation. I messaged the dr today and told him he needs to figure out something else.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
