Surgery 8/30/07

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!! I had it done, my surgery date actually got moved up a day on the 29th. I was really scared going in but everything went well. I have some pain from the gas and bruising around the incisions. I think it's really odd that I don't feel hungry food looks good but I'm not having hunger pains hopefully that lasts forever.

I can't wait to start losing weight.

Can someone tell me how to get one of the scales from ticker central I went to the sight and made one just don't know how to put in my messages.

Hi there!

I'm pretty sure you can right-click on the ticker you made and copy and paste it into your signature. Go to UserCP in the menu above to modify your signature.

By the way, make sure someone gets you some Gas-X. It was a real life-saver for me! The most pain I had was from the anesthesia--felt like I'd been hit by a truck. I was very sore. I remember being SO happy when I could sleep on my stomach again!

The best advice I can offer is for you to do exactly what your doctor tells you to do if you want the best results. Make sure you take in enough Protein every day and steer clear of the carbs once you can eat solids again.

Glad everything is going well for you so far!

Roo: There is a code that they give you (long web page) after you create the ticker. The first code is the one you need. Back over it. Copy & then go & paste it right under your signature on this board in the same box. You can get to your info. on this site by going to UserCP. So glad to know you are doing well. Welcome to the journey with all of us!!

Congratulations, you must be so excited. It is actually done now. I am looking forward to hear the process that you go thru. Nice to know that you can look at food and not want it. That just doesn't happen to us.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
