  1. Hi, I am sorry to hear about your band. I too am having my band removed today due to erosion. I have only had it on one year and I never reached the "sweet spot". I had 9.5 cc in a 10 cc band. DR thought he should check it out. I have not been sick or any other symptoms. I am devastated to lose my band so soon. I have lost 60 pds but have more to go and I am petrified of gaining it all back. I have lost weight before but I always seem to find it. Good luck with your surgery, I would like to correspond after we get home from the hospital to see how things are progressing. Jeanette
  2. I am so sorry for your losing your band. I too am getting mine removed on 2-2-09 due to erosion, 1 year after having it in. I was never sick or threw up but DR kept putting fills in and nothing was happening. I have been angry and a chocolate mess since hearing. I did start weight watchers two weeks ago. You know it is what I did before the band and now I have to go back to it. At least my insurance paid for the initial banding. Life has thrown you some nasty curves, but things have got to get better. My heart goes out to you. Jeanette
  3. Hi, I am losing my band next week due to erosion. How are you doing now that it has been a few months. I am having a really hard time emotionally with this. I am scared to gain the weight back. Jeanette
  4. Hi Trish, Thanks for responding. Do you still have your gallbladder? I am really surprised that you can't eat more. I have experienced maybe 5 times when the band has been tight in a year. Since I am at 9.5 cc in a 10cc my dr said that when I hit 10 cc they can't put in anymore. I don't know if the band is ok. I had tests in Oct and it was fine then. I have lost 50 since the band and want to do more. I go for a checkup on 1-15 but I will probably call Dr before. My heartburn is during the day. Hey maybe its my JOB. Take care, Jeanette
  5. I have had the band for 1 year now. I have 9.5 cc in a 10cc band. I am not hungry between meals but I can still eat 2 cups or so at a meal. I have never really been restricted. Lately I am feeling like I might have heartburn or something like it at the band site. Any suggestions?
  6. My first fill cost 743.00, 2nd cost 900 somthing and now we are over $1000.00. It is done at the hospital under flouroscopy. Yes insurance has paid but man that is expensive. The Dr. does take all the Fluid out before he adds more, no leakage. I have follow up with him on Thursday. I just want to be like the others out there with good restriction. I know I'll get there, but it is a long wait. Thanks for replying.
  7. I am not feeling restriction. What happens when you get to 10cc's. Has anyone else had this happen. I keep thinking with every fill (at $1100/fill) that this one will do the trick. I will have a 1 year anniversary for my surgery in Jan 09. I have lost weight, but can still eat alot. Do people have to have them replaced? Jeanette

Hey big daddy, I have had one fill and absolutely no restriction. I am so hoping when I go for the 2nd one that I'll see a difference and then the weight start dropping. I have actually gained 3.5 pounds since my fill in mid february. I am scheduled for my second one on April 14th. That is the soonest I can get in. Let me know how it is going JLW
  9. Hi, What is powdered Peanut Butter. I have never heard of it. Where do you get it? Jeanette
  10. hI, noticed that you just got banded. I am envious. My six months of counseling are up, I am just waiting for the insurance co. to approve me. Regarding your liquid diet, any good ideas to pass on? I would appreciate it. Thanks.
  11. Hi, Just saw you post about the liquid diet. Any suggestions on how to plan a day of the liquid diet. I had a 3 day trial of this and it was tough. I don't think I planned well enough. And what I did have (like tomatoe soup) had way too much sodium in it. Any suggestions for me? Jlw
  12. hi can you send to me the process that you used. I can't believe you got approved so quickly. thanks.
  13. Hi, Looks like you are doing great after the band. I am pre-op and on my 3 day trial of full liquids. The first day was really bad but day 2 has been ok. I don't feel like I am down on any weight like I thought I would be. Let me know how you are doing
  14. Congratulations, you must be so excited. It is actually done now. I am looking forward to hear the process that you go thru. Nice to know that you can look at food and not want it. That just doesn't happen to us. jw
  15. Hi, How are you doing since the surgery. Is food staying down? Do you get full fast? I have talked with one person and she had it done in May and says she is eating the same volume of food that she always did. That makes me nervous. That shouldn't happen right?
