Weight comes off then stops

Recommended Posts

When I get a fill I loose weight quickly for about 3 weeks. This is also a time that I can't eat anything without getting sick. But then after the 3rd week I can eat fine again but the weight loss is gone and I fluctuate up and down 2 lbs. Do anyone else have this problem or have any advice???

Wow, I thought I was reading about me. I too am exactly the same.

Had my band November 2015,lost 30lbs and am staying at that. Getting really discouraged.

I'm up 2 lbs and down 2lbs.

Now wishing that I never had this done.

Ladies I felt the same way - having fills will keep you both moving in the same "weight loss" direction. The fills helps tremendously. Also try and replace dinners with Protein Shakes - work out is also a key component. Remember even though you have a band - which is an added tool in your weight loss success; we are still required to do the work. Fills fills fills (find your green zone), it will force you to eat less, increase cardio = weight loss.

Hi - I had that happen for 8 years, where I lost 30 lbs and up and down the same 3-5lbs. to the point, I went to have a consult to get this darn thing out of me. Only to find out insurance would no longer cover, boy was I angry thinking I have to deal with this stupid thing in me for the rest of my life. No matter what I did worked, that was until I found a nutritious drink that I drink daily for my nutrition (good bye Vitamins via Pill form). I swear this product was made just for Lap Band patients. You treat your body right with the correct nutrition, and you will reap the rewards of it, On top of this drink, I also use an electronic log (I use My Fitness Pal). So that I could finally start to see how many calories I was consuming on a daily basis. Once I did that I was like wow, now I continue to monitor on a daily basis. Between the two, now 5 months later I am finally down 50 lbs (SW 251 GW 150 CW 198.6), I got another 50 to do but now I know that goal is totally doable and I love my band!

Congrats Ginny

I think everyone has to find their way band wise. It is very personal how each fill and hunger work. Something about working out also helps... I don't think it is totally the calories you burn....I think it is body/ mind connection..... Protein Water and working out has been a good friend for me and my band since 2006. I'm of the mindset of leaving the fill level a little low.... I truly want to keep my band and the almost 100 lb loss forever!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
