Evil band out in 2014!

Hi all. Had an awful experience with the band. Am revising to RNY later this year. For those of you who have had this done, are you happy with your decision? What can I expect? I'm terrified.

Omg!!! I'm so happy to read this! I also had a lot of issues with the band and had it removed. I'm a week away of RNY and I'm terrified! I'm worried about long-term unhealthy affects. Such as looker older, hair loss, malnutrition. Have you had any of these to the degree that you regretted going forward? Im getting cold feet :o

I am 3 months post op. I'm down 45 lbs. My hair is starting to come out some, not much. I have a lot of hair! However, hair loss is temporary. I even had it with the band. I have seen many people that are much further out than me. I think they look great.

Just be faithful about taking your Vitamins. I will be getting my labs done soon. The way I feel, I would think they are on point.

I was worried about hair loss and looking older, but from what I'm hearing, as long as we keep up on our Vitamins, we should be ok. It's worth a little temporary hair loss in order to not have awful arthritis, and be able to chase my little nuggets around.
