Will Medicaid in GA approve Gastric Sleeve?

Hello, I just received notice that my Medicaid application was approved. I live in GA. Will they approve gastric sleeve surgery. Is the wait time 6 months like other insurances? Thanks!

    @@mssonya84 It completely depends on the plan requirements. Many Medicaid plans do cover Bariatric Surgery. Your best bet is to call and get the coverage guidelines from your plan. Wait times vary significantly too. Congrats and good luck!

    I don't know about GA but in CO Medicaid does cover bariatric surgery, as long as you meet their requirements.
