Insurance question

I went on my insurance company's website and noticed that the lab work I had done the day of my initial visit with surgeon was denied. I also noticed that the actual visit with him has not been submitted...it was on 5/31. Could it be that they are waiting until I have authorization to submit for the office visit? All of this insurance stuff confuses me!!

That's strange. They may have coded it wrong. Did the insurance website say why it was denied? Once you have that info, you might call the dr office and ask them about it (both the reasons for denial and why the initial visit hasn't been submitted yet).
