Aug/Sept Exercise Challenge

Recommended Posts

Well, I think I'm feeling well enough to join up. I've been walking around a little around the house. A couple of days I've gone out to the stores and walked around. Today I actually went out to Mystic Village and walked around for awhile.

Commitment: I commit to do 21 days of mindful exercise.

Name: Heather

Types of exercise I could choose from: Walking, Treadmill, Elliptical.

WOW! You are all doing so good! 38 minutes of walking and 12 blocks, way to set that bar! I'll be catching up with you soon!

Welcome, Heather! (band-twin )

Saturday, 8-25 -- cleaned out the garage off and on all day

Today -- Walked to the end of the block and back, watered the yard and trimmed some shrubs for 45 minutes.

I'm joining the challenge a little late. As long as the challenge is going through the end of September, I'm up for 28 days. I can't wait to get out and get moving again.

*hugs*

:clap2:

Glad to see so many of us getting active. September is going to be great. I'm hoping for a little bit cooler temps around here!

Today I went for a 30 minute walk.

Welcome, brwneydgrl75 and Trish! You're definitely not too late. I made this a two month challenge because our surgery dates were spread out through the whole month of August. We are all in different stages of healing. Those who just had surgery still have a week left to join in. :bounce:

Good job, Crazy Ates!!!!

Becky and Pam- 45 minutes?!?! You truly are some CRAZY Ates! LOL  :becky: Go, ladies, go! :thumb::banana

I need to do my mindful exercise for the day. I'm going to be mindful to park farther and walk around the store extra while I'm out today. I'm doing much better with my band, but now I got hit with monthly cramps. UGH! Oh well. I keep on keepin' on. This challenge is all about being MINDFUL. Every day I have exercising on my mind, so it's working ;-)

COME ON, Crazy Ates! I want to see more bandster friends join in the month of September! We can do this TOGETHER!!! :whoo::cheer2::boxing:

I will commit. I just started my elliptical back. Strangely enough I don't mind doing it as much as before my band. I think I am simply more motivated since I know I will loose. I put a tickler in my signature with the time I want to accomplish during the 21 days.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
