I am scheduled to have surgery June 13, and I am
sort ofextremely nervous about it. My friend is having surgery the same day, and she has told everyone that she is having it. However, I've only told her, one other friend, my parents, and my husband. I am pretty private, and I don't want to be judged for having this surgery. Everyone has seen me struggle with my weight my entire life.I watch YouTube videos constantly, but it seems like YouTubers are still *relatively* (using the term loosely here) new-- less than 5 years out from surgery.
Has anyone had the surgery more than 5 years ago and regretted it? Gained the weight back? Had complications years later?
I get that I can only use this as a tool, and that I have to put in the work to maintain the weight loss-- looking for some veterans and their experience with bypass.
