I'll be a week post tomorrow and I was told from my doctor that I'm to be on a clear liquid diet for a month so I don't know how I have read that people are allowed to eat yogurt and other things, I would love alittle yogurt but they said no:/

@@amysmara I think all doctor's are different.

My doctor has me on all liquids for 10 days until my follow up appointment. I meet him tomorrow. Then I get to move on to pureed foods. Two weeks on those, then soft foods. Then two weeks on that and I can start to introduce regular foods to my diet.

What is biotein? Sorry I don't live in the US or Europe so a lot of the products mentioned on this forum don't exist here? Are there any equivalents?

@@Aliel84 Listerine is a good equivalent! I used it 2 times a day and it helped a ton, also I would hold really really cold Water in my mouth until it turned warm then swallow. I ended up with thrush shortly after surgery. My mouth was so so hot all the time. It went a way but it was miserable. It caused me to not want to eat and to gag at the thought, nothing sounded good, or it would make me gag. There is a rx for thrush but for some reason my surgeon wouldn't give it to me.

@@noworries_365, Congratulations on your surgery!

Sipping as much as you can throughout the day is the best strategy. You’ve already gotten good ideas such as using ice chips, popsicles, and Gelatin. Sometimes it can help to mix it up a little: use Water flavoring drops or powders (sugar free), or try warm decaffeinated tea. Also, you can try broth or bouillon for a nice salty taste to give yourself a break from sweet Protein shakes and Water flavorings and popsicles. Make sure the broth is warm, not hot, so it doesn’t bother your surgery stitches.

For extra motivation, remember that symptoms that you have, like dry mouth, aren’t just unpleasant. They are a sign of dehydration which can be dangerous! I know way too many WLS patients who have ended up in the emergency room. I am not trying to scare you, but just to motivate you to take this super seriously. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
