I am having a real hard time with my Vitamins. I purchased the Celebrate Multi Complete chewable and the directions say to take 2 per day. Well, I vomit every time I take even one. Has anyone tried any others that may not make me so sick? I know that it's probably because there are high doses of vitamins in each tablet, but if I vomit up 1/2 of the tablet once I take it, what good is it?

Do you take it with food? If not, give that a try. If you already are, definitely try another Vitamin. For the first several weeks after surgery I took liquid vitamins -- I did the Wellesse brand. I took a double dose, one in the morning, one at night. They did not bother me at all. My labs were always great.

Now I take the Trader Joe's High Potency chewable, which again, caused me absolutely no nausea whatsoever.

Also, keep in mind that if you can't take Vitamins for a couple of weeks, it isn't the end of the world. It takes several weeks for vitamin deficiencies to develop, so while taking vitamins is great, not being able to take them for a few weeks should not harm you.

I take Bariatric Advantage chewable multi and Calcium. They are supposed to melt in your mouth but I hate them so bad I chew them quickly with my nose pinched shut and quickly rinse my mouth with Water. Then I have to sit there and concentrate on not puking them back up. I was told after 3 mo I could start taking the Bariatric pills you just swallow

My husband, who is UBER SUPPORTIVE suggested that I cut the Vitamin into smaller pieces and take one piece every 1/2 hour or so, which worked beautifully. I think my problem wasn't getting a whole one down at once, but the concentration of the Vitamin and my body not liking all of those Vitamins all at once. Thank you all for your suggestions. :)

I am glad I found your post. I also ordered the Celebrate chewable vitamins and I have taken 3 doses and I have vomited each time. Tonight, I just was trying to dissolve it in my mouth but I ended up biting it and 5 min later was vomiting. Tomorrow I will try to mix with a small smoothie. I don't find them bad, it just seems to be a reaction of my stomach. Needless to say I am scared of vomiting so early in my recovery. A NUT friend of mine said that the B complex's are hard on the stomach in the way that they may be causing the nausea. I am in Canada and found it very difficult to get Bariatric vitamins here. Many of the sites also do not deliver to Canada. Celebrate was the only company I could find that would ship them here..

Gummy women's one a day are awesome

My NUT told us no gummies. Which stinks cause that's what I take now. Guess it's the added sugar in them. They recommend Flinstones....2 a day.

Does anyone have ideas for liquid vitamins?

I was taking floradix liquid until i could stomach soft foods... then switched to regular vitamins... I'm glad i used the liquid... it took out the stress and fear of trying to get Capsules down

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
