I am so tired of Protein drinks! I am ready to eat eggs and beans! Lord help me through the next week so I don't go crazy!

Me too. I can eat eggs and Beans now but I still have to drink protein. I am soooo tired of it!! It won't stop when you are able to eat. It just gets annoying.

I plan on buying those Isopure juices and mixing them with my Water.< /p>

Mine are still crusty.

I only have one out of five that is still crusty. The rest are closed and sealed. But they still itch around the area where I had my staples. They itch real bad.

I just started on soft food. Was so looking forward to it. But it kinda sucks..hard to get enough protien in. Hard to tell when I'm full cuz my belly still wants food but it's kinda stuck. It's very tough....comments? Advice?

Hi Sean... I'm with you!!

I started phase 3 on Thursday. Since I can't have enough Protein with food. I drink my Protein for Breakfast. From 8am-12pm I sip my Protein shake. 64 grams of protein and about 17 ounces of liquid. Then I begin my Water. I have the Water throughout the day. I have something for lunch usually 4 ounces that I space out in an hour. So far these last 3 days I've had, mashed potatoes, yesterday, refried Beans and today I had cottage cheese. All three were about 6-8 tbsp. I don't know when I'm full yet because I don't know what it feels like. My brain wants to keep eating but I stop myself at 8 tbsp. For dinner I sip on some Soup that I had already prepared during phase 2. This way, I have the full 64 oz of liquids AND my protein.

It's so hard to decipher when I'm full because I don't feel it yet. But I do feel that I'm not hungry. I hope this helped a bit.

Thanks. What protien shake is 64 grams of protien?

None that I know of. I use nectar Protein.

1 scoop is 23 grams. I use two scoops.

Then I add 16 ounces of fat free lactate milk. The milk is 18 grams of Protein for the 16 ounces.

It makes up to be 64 grams.

I understand you completely, I am in the same boat with the nausea... I never knew how hard it can be when you have no appetite to eat :(

I will be starting my phase 3 in a few days. Do you have to have the Beans, eggs, or cottage cheese pureed?

one step at a time, one sip at a time, one pound at a time.

Yes. I was too nervous about the refried Beans, so I put them my ninja juice blender. Then it was smooth. Same with cottage cheese.. but I haven't had eggs

No I haven't pureed anything. Have not had beans yet. Probably high protien though I will try some. I've had scrambled eggs, chicken salad Finley chopped w light mayo, haddock, zucchini cooked, cottage cheese, string cheese, sliced cheese, a lil deli ham, Peanut Butter. All have been fine. I take small bites and chew till pureed consistency.

So, is anyone doing anything about the scars yet? Or is it too soon?

Got the staples removed on Friday. The wounds look fine so far.

The thought of them makes me want to gag right now. I guess this is because I experienced some nausea and even vomiting one time after drinking them.

I will try Protein powder stirred into cooked oatmeal soon. I always liked eating that.

It's unlikely you will feel full on puree food stage. Measure out the amount recommended by you plan.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
