Hello dear! I had my surgery on the 3rd and today I am 12 pounds down. I'm a slow loser and couldn't really believe it. So u will be fine! All will go well and u will notice inches melting away. This surgery was well worth it! :-) Good luck on ur new journey

If u fail to plan, u plan to fail.

That's great! I also had surgery on the 3rd but am down about 6 lbs (but am on TOM so that might be causing Water retention). Glad you came out the other side ok!

@@TamaraRae - it varies so DON'T compare and get frustrated. I lost 21lbs about a month out. Measure yourself NOW @1cutiejulie mentioned inches will not necessarily show up on the scale. Those are NSVs!

@@TamaraRae @@jane13 is right. You shouldn't compare to others. But feel free to compare to me.....at that 6 week mark I was down 17 pounds. Next time I weighed at 10 weeks I was still down the same 17 pounds. Now check out my ticker....over 100% excess weight loss and holding strong for over a year and a half. That's why I say your rate of loss has nothing to do with long term success. The NSVs are way more fun to log than numbers anyways!

I had my 9 day post-op visit and found I had lost 13lbs. Shocked me, but I was thrilled.

I lost almost 40 in the first month and another 10 the second. I'm 4 lbs away from 50lbs post op... But I'm also 70lbs down from my highest point. I keep hitting plateaus but then slowly break through them. I'm okay with that and still hope to lose another 60 over the next few months.

Warmer weather means more walking and a steady schedule allows me gym time now.

8 weeks post op, and I lost 28.6 Ibs (13 kgs)

Had a stall in week 3-4, then started losing again.

My few NSVs: I can cross my legs again, I fit into my few tops, my skirts are loser, and I can wear my favourite watch again.

People started complimenting me :)

I am starting to feel much, much better.

Good luck with your surgery @@TamaraRae

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
